Wendy is the Director of Community Education at the Energetic Health Institute, Wendy is a BCHN Certified Holistic Nutritionist. Having worked her way up the ladder from Student to Grad T.A. to Faculty, she is an absolute wealth of wisdom.
She is also a Certified Neuromuscular Massage Therapist, Reiki Master Teacher and holds a Master of Fine Arts in Theatrical Design. She has been in the healing arts since 2004 and adores every minute of it. Between stellar charity work in the LGBT Community helping to raise funding for research and community support to attending Burning Man to make sure the folks who have fun also do so safely, Wendy is an avid adventurer and loves new experiences.

Ashley became interested in the world of holistic health 15 years ago when she studied esthiology science with Aveda to help heal her acne. The program was comprehensive, consisting of aromatherapy, Ayurveda, breathing and meditation, meridians and, of course, the biology of the skin. 600 hours later, she had earned her certification as an Esthetician.

A new world was unveiling itself before her eyes and she was fascinated! Ashley started to see improvements in her skin but knew she was still missing a piece of the picture. While working as an esthetician, she was sent to a nutrition class and trained on a small selection of nutraceuticals that her company carried. That’s when she was introduced to Dr. Perricone’s incredible work! At first, she couldn’t understand the depth of his books but then started seeing the connection between food choices, chronic inflammation and disease.
Ashley’s eyes were open and she needed to learn more so she began working in the nutraceuticals industry, training under a nutritionist and herbalist and decided to go back to school at the Energetic Health Institute. EHI’s extensive program took her 2 years to complete. After 1,000 hours of study, she became not only a Certified Holistic Nutritionist, but a teaching assistant, and finally a teacher with the school. That was nearly 6 years ago and she feels immense gratitude for the continued training under the school’s founder Dr. Henele, its graduates, her fellow co-workers and all involved in EHI’s vibrant community!
Ashley now has 2 children and is building a self-sufficient, permaculture rooted homestead with her husband. She deeply enjoys gardening, keeping chickens, practicing food preservation, and cooking and making herbal medicine with her family. She is currently training to become a Clinical Herbalist and thoroughly loving her journey. She’s currently based in New Jersey, our garden state, and appreciates its 4 seasons of change and rhythm, which she takes full advantage of with her kids. It’s been very rewarding for her to share planting, harvesting and foraging practices with her kids. She loves learning through their eyes!
